Government Degree College Jammikunta is one of the oldest colleges in the north Telangana Region established in 1965. Since it is well connected with Rail and Road ways, the students from far off places like Jangaon and Sirpurkagaznagar also pursued UG courses from this college during sixties and seventies, of last century. The college was celebrated Golden Jubilee year in 2017. The Alumni of the college is contributing much in Social, Cultural and Political fields of the area.
